By evaluating a project first, we make it ready for partnership, for example by securing concessions and land usage rights. By taking this early stage risk on our own shoulders, our dedicated project ownership gives the foundation for asset value growth and minimizes broken-deal costs for our partners.

Only then we select our co-investor and comply to most robust controlling, monitoring, reporting and approval processes.

We account for each EUR spent, transparently work together to further develop original opportunities as a joint long-term engagement.

We believe that the fierce competition for power generation and storage capacities may have an impact on the investment grade evaluation of projects/countries.

The market may see investments in earlier greenfield stages and in those markets where capacities can be developed with an optimum balance between scale, speed, risk and financial returns.

This may bring focus to new markets in Europe. ”Blocking and owning large scale location/capacities” will be a strategic factor for business growth.

Our investment approach and our skills give us significant flexibility. We are the dedicated project owner and co-investments can be done as single asset solution on a deal-by-deal basis in our portfolio companies or on the holding level of Zero Emissions AG so that co-investors can benefit from the full potential of our entire portfolio.

Along the development cycle, ZE’s stake in a project may shift from 100% ownership, to majority or minority stakes or even up to a complete exit.
